I hosted Dennis Yu for an 86-minute working session so operators could watch a real audit instead of buying another AI prompt pack. He graded live pages. I kept the room on the ingredients: photos, job video, reviews, and a VA you actually manage.
Takeaway: AI is an amplifier. If you do not put the raw proof in one place first, the model writes the same bathroom post everyone else is publishing.

I put the webinar on so the room could watch an audit
I did not host a keynote. I hosted a working session. Dennis opened a real remodeler, Lamont Brothers, and graded the page Google actually sends people to. He said most operators would call the AI bathroom post a great blog. It was not. It had no experience, weak people-also-ask, and no proof of a Portland crew.
My job in that hour was to keep the room honest. When he asked for a city, I said London. When he asked what I thought the AI would grade a thin page, I said five or six out of ten. He wanted a live partner, not a slide deck.
At the close I thanked him for the time, even though we went over. I pointed the room at the guides. Email Stephanie through the BlitzMetrics home page for the checklists he showed. Read them. Do not ingest poison just because someone handed you a file.
Get the ingredients together first
The line I kept repeating is simple. Get the ingredients together first. Pull the phone out. Take photos. Tell the story. Shoot the job. Newspaper clippings, old awards, crew pictures — get them into one folder.
Dennis restated it to the room as my line: Focus on putting all those ingredients into some folder on your phone. Pay for the iCloud storage if you have to. One place. Then the checklists. Then Dollar a Day. Then AI.
Operators want to skip to the tool. A plumber says he will just hire someone so he does not mess up the digital part. I get the instinct. Licensed trades hire specialists so nobody gets hurt. Digital is different now. The models can write and build. They cannot invent your jobs in Portland. Without the folder, you are paying for word salad.
Stop paying for fake SEO links
If an SEO person wants to sell you the link package, do not do that. Ever. That was one of the cuts we took out of my session on purpose, because the pitch is still in every inbox.
Dennis said it as an engineer, not as a vendor. SEO is the result of doing the work: proof, reviews, fast pages, real photos. It is not a separate product you buy in a spreadsheet of domains.
Rank on the local keywords that mean a job in your city. Informational articles can help people. They should point at the location-service pages that convert. A pile of “how do I remodel a bathroom” URLs that never mention your crew is not a strategy.
Dennis showed the remodeler’s keyword list live. Tens of thousands of rankings, mostly how-to. The pages that should have been winning Portland and Boise bathroom jobs were built like ads landers with no in-body links. That is the fake-SEO hangover even when nobody sold a link package. You did the informational play and skipped the proof play.
My cut for the room: stop buying the package, and stop pretending a how-to library is the same as being the company that did the job. The clips we published from my session exist so a tech can hear that in two minutes and go fix the money page.
Make the business Googleable
I told the room I am working slowly on my own knowledge panel. I have to get better. It is coming. Dennis pulled the entity view for my name so people could see Instagram, Facebook, webinars, and third-party references attaching to one object.
That is what “Googleable” means. Google is a database of objects. Paid and organic both try to attach facts to the same person or company. Your site is one node. Other people featuring you are the rest.
You can watch that happen on Dennis’s Liana Ling hub and on my camera-roll photo page. Those pages exist so a stranger — and an AI — can see the same person across photos, talks, and articles.
When he searched my name in the entity view, the room saw the same pattern we want for a local company: one object, many proofs. Webinars, photos, third-party mentions, and a site that agrees with them. That is why I keep putting him in rooms I host. He will grade the live page. I will keep the ingredients honest.
If your Google Business Profile, your inner service page, and your Instagram show three different businesses, you are not Googleable. You are three rumors. Fix the object first. Then spend the dollar.
Hire your own VA, not an agency sandwich
Dennis walked the $500-a-month full-time VA on onlinejobs.ph. I backed it in the room. Your own person. Your own son or daughter you trust. Your own virtual assistant. Not a black-box agency that writes posts you never see.
The VA still needs the folder. Give them the job photos, the reviews, and the city pages. Give them the checklists. Then they have something true to publish. A VA with no ingredients will manufacture the same AI bathroom post we graded as a failure.
Use AI as an amplifier after that. Not as a replacement for the crew, the photos, or the VA you manage.
Start with video as proof
Real photos beat stock. Job-site video beats a stock crew smiling at a sink. Dennis showed a window-film example and asked the room to guess stock versus a real owner. Google reverse-image search will tell on you.
We have taught the content factory together in Chicago and other rooms: produce the raw tape, process it, post it, then amplify. The webinar was that loop with the lights on. Collect raw ingredients every day so the library is there when you need a page.
I told the room to read the checklists themselves. Google how you set up location-service pages. Google how you tune WordPress. Google how you make a page load faster. If the guides match what other experts already say, they are legit. If they do not, do not swallow them.
Dennis walked PageSpeed, payload, and plugins on a real remodeler page so the room could see why a beautiful HubSpot build still fails a customer on a phone. I hosted that so nobody left thinking “SEO” was a separate purchase. Fast pages, real photos, and a VA you manage are the purchase.
He also walked mentions. Gather what the market already says about the company, then sprinkle those facts into the money page. That is the same harvest we use on personal brands. It is why this site has a photo page and why Dennis keeps an honor hub. Corroboration in public is the product.
The clips below are the verbs I want an operator to send to a tech. Watch the full tape at the top. Send one clip. Fix one hole.
- Ingredients together first
- Stop buying fake links
- Make the business Googleable
- Hire your own VA
- Real photos not stock
- Video as main proof
- AI as an amplifier
- Tag us with results

Take action and tag us with results
I closed the hour by asking the room to take action and tag us with results. Not theories. A faster money page. A folder of job photos. A VA you actually manage. A knowledge panel you can point at.
Dennis thanked me for putting the webinar on. I thanked him for teaching in public. Join Digital Marketing with Dennis Yu on Facebook, grab the guides from Stephanie, and send a before-and-after of the page you fixed.
Company-side teaching from this same relationship lives on the mastering-AI company leaf and the lighthouse strategy article. My Dollar a Day method pages stay on this site. Those are different hours.
Next step: watch the webinar at the top, make the ingredients folder today, and send one clip to the person who owns your website.
